The invention relates to a module which is integrable in solar collectors, and which is able to convert heat energy directly into electrical energy. It is based on the thermoelectric effect of special ionic liquids that run in channels inside an electrical and thermal insulation layer. On the top and bottom of these channels are electrodes of electrically and thermally conductive material in contact with the ionic liquid inside the channels. If there is a temperature difference between the upper and lower side of these channels, an electrical voltage is generated, which can be tapped at the electrodes. The channels have cross sections, for example, from a few microns to a few mm. They are arranged close together in the modules and can be connected in series as well as in parallel. If the modules are combined to form a collector, they can also be interconnected in series or in parallel. The invention describes both individual modules and arrangements of modules, ie collectors for obtaining electrical energy directly from heat. Both the modules and the collectors can be combined with existing photovoltaic modules and collectors. The concept can also be integrated directly into it, which leads to an increase in the energy yield. In special cases, from modules, as described here, also parts for the electronics are manufactured, such. B. sensors or the like. The concept described in the invention can be used to produce different collectors for direct recovery of electrical energy from thermal energy. The modules or collectors described here may be part of different systems for generating energy.
