A method for operating a radio frequency - digital - analogous to that of - wall position of the circuit arrangement with a number of cells, if a first input sampling value and a subsequent second input sampling value have different signs, comprises a generating a first analog signal, which corresponds to the first input sampling value, with the use of a first subset of the number of cells of the digital - analogous to that of - wall position of the circuit arrangement with a local oscillator signal with a first polarity. The method further comprises applying a second local oscillator signal with an inverted polarity to a second subset of cells of the digital - analogous to that of - wall position of the circuit arrangement, when a number of cells from said first subset of cells is employed and a selecting a number of the cells from the second partial amount of cells, in order to generate a second analog signal, which corresponds to the second input sampling value.
