It is an arrangement for Raman spectroscopy with an excitation light source system, which turns on Raman excitation light simultaneously or serially with different discrete wavelengths or tuned in the wavelength. The focusing optics of the arrangement is designed for these excitation wavelengths with chromatic means or these are assigned to the same, so that on the one hand an excitation focus shifts in the wavelength tuning predetermined in the depth of the object space. On the other hand, when simultaneously or serially switching on Raman excitation light of different wavelengths, a plurality of separated excitation foci are created in the depth of the object space. The object space can also be the interior of an aorta or an artery. The Raman scattered light in the object space at different depths is separated in the return and fed to the spectroscopic detection.
