Device for igniting a fusion reactor

To ignite a fusion reactor, a magnetic bottle with anti-matter is used. By means of an electromagnet, the magnetic bottle is opened. (1) The anti-matter comes in contact with the plasma, causing an explosion that briefly compresses the plasma and thus ignites the reactor. (2) A massive steel hood over the magnetic bottle protects the reactor in the event of an explosion of the magnetic bottle. (3)
