The invention relates to a pump head for an American and French valve with a rotary switch, comprising: a housing (10) having a receiving space (113), an air inlet channel (114) and at least one through hole (115); a lever (20) pivotally connected to one end of the housing (10) and movable between a print position and a release position; a piston (30) which is arranged in the receiving space (113) of the housing (10) and a receiving hole (31) and at the two sides in each case a hole (33) which on the through hole (115) of the housing (10) is aligned; at least one locking unit (40) including a locking piece (41) disposed in the hole (33) of the piston (30) and movable by an external force between a locked position and a release position; a positioning member (50) disposed in the receiving space (113) of the housing (10) and having elasticity; a ram unit (60) disposed in the receiving hole (31) of the piston (30) and movable by an external force between an American position and a French position, and a rotary ring (70) rotatable about the housing (10); is placed and on the inside at least one projection (71). As a result, according to the invention, the clamping force can be increased, the manufacturing costs can be reduced and the assembly can be facilitated.
