Method of lining a pipe with high strength lining, high strength lining and pipe lined with high strength lining

A lining tube for lining a pipe and a method for lining a pipe. Lining material containing a strength layer and a felt carrier layer forms the lining tube. The strength layer contains chopped fiber strands which are generally oriented parallel to each other and distributed along the strength layer. The felt carrier layer may be needled with the strength layer. Joining structure may connect opposing longitudinal edge edges of the lining material to form a tubular shape. The liner tube is impregnated with a curable polymer, positioned in the tube and cured to form the liner. The liner expands radially as it is positioned in the tube. As the liner stretches, the strength layer remains bonded to the felt carrier layer and the width of the overlapping edge edges does not decrease.
