Copper-free aluminum alloys, suitable for high pressure casting, and that of a hardening at elevated temperatures can be subjected to. The alloy contains about 7 – 15 w -% silicon, approximately 0 to 0,6 w -% magnesium, approximately 0 to 1,0 w -% iron, approximately 0 to 1,0 w -% manganese, approximately 0 to 1,0 w -% zinc, approximately 0 to 0,1 w -% strontium, approximately 0 to 0,5 wt.% titanium, approximately 0 to 0,5 wt.% zirconium, approximately 0 to 0,5 wt.% vanadium, approximately 0 to 0,5 wt.% copper and about 0 to 1,0 w -% nickel, with a balance of aluminum. A method for the production of high pressure casting parts and cast parts, have been produced from the alloys.
