The present invention is a method for grouping measuring devices of an energy network, in which each measuring device provides measured values with a time stamp, wherein for each measured value a deviation from the previous measured value is calculated, and the deviations by means of the respective time stamp of a plurality of time intervals predetermined length, and for each time interval the number of deviations smaller than a predetermined first threshold value is determined such that a pattern of the number of deviations results for each measuring device over a time course of the time intervals, and the patterns of all the measuring devices are compared; and measuring devices with the same or similar patterns are assigned to a group. Furthermore, backrest of the invention are an evaluation arrangement for the grouping of measuring devices of an energy network and a corresponding system with evaluation arrangement and measuring devices.
