System and method for processing of stop-and-go language with an automatic speech recognition system (asr) comprising: receiving the speech of a speaker with a microphone; detecting the existence of stop-and-go speech in the recorded speech; access to a grammar or an acoustic model for end of the stick speech as the reaction to the determination; and the processing of the recorded speech with the grammar for end of the stick language.
