A fluid circulation circuit connecting a compressor (2) to a condenser (4) and the condenser (4) to an evapo-condenser (1) and an evaporator (3), then the evaporator-condenser (1) and the evaporator (3) to the compressor (2). The outlet of the condenser (4) is connected respectively to the inlet of the evapo-condenser (1) and the evaporator (3) via a first means (11, 12) of expansion of the fluid. The outputs of the evapo-condenser (1) and the evaporator (3) are each connected to the compressor via a second means (13, 14) of expansion of the fluid. The fluid circulation circuit is configured to form two distinct branches so as to allow two distinct modes of operation, for which the evapo-condenser (1) and the evaporator (3) are respectively placed in series or in parallel in the circuit.
