The invention provides a solar car port comprising:at least one support structure and a roof supported by the at least one support structure, the roof being arranged to support at least one solar panel,the at least one support structure being formed from a FRP material and comprising a hollow structure defining a cavity therein, and at least one component located within the cavity for connection to the at least one solar panel.
