An arrangement 1 for testing a connection interface (2, fig. 2) between a first and second vehicle component (4a-b, fig. 2), where said interface is coupled on an assembly line. The testing device 1 includes a tool 5 to couple the connection interface and a test adapter 6 for testing of the coupling that may be mounted on the tool. The testing device 1 includes a sensor device 7 for acquiring a force progression signal 11a-b during and/or after the coupling, and an evaluation device 8 to evaluate the signal. The sensor device may acquire force-path or force-time progressions, and these may be compared with reference progressions 13. The device may feature a camera that may be mounted on the tool for a second method of evaluation. The evaluation result may be used to control the assembly line. The device may feature a number of test adaptors to test a number of different couplings.
