The invention relates to an analysis device (10) for determining properties of biomass (2) in a biomass tank (1), comprising:- A dipping sensor unit (12) for detecting data of the biomass (2);- A housing (14) which einhaustauch the immersion sensor unit (12) fluid-tight, so that the immersion sensor unit (12) into the biomass (2) is submerged;a positioning device connected to the immersion sensor unit for vertical and lateral positioning of the immersion sensor unit at a sensor location within a biomass tank;- means (22) for determining the depth of immersion of the immersion sensor unit (12); and- A data transmission device for transmitting the acquired data for the evaluation of the data. The invention further relates to the use of such an analysis device and a corresponding method.
