A film (32) for the securing of evidence, in particular for the securing of evidence in the event of vehicle accident damage, has: an adhesive film (34) with a transparent plastic base film (10) and an adhesive layer (12) applied to one side of said base film, the adhesive layer (12) being designed to remove and preserve evidence from an evidence site; and a separation cover sheet material (14), at least some sections of which are removable, for covering the adhesive layer (12) prior to use and in the preserving stage and which has, on the side facing the adhesive layer (12), a siliconized coating (16) or surface properties that allow it to be separated in a different, non-destructive manner from the adhesive layer. At least some sections of the separation cover sheet material (14) are designed as a highly-transparent film, which allows the adhesive film (32) provided with the separation cover film (14) to be analyzed in addition through the separation cover film (14), once the evidence has been secured.
