Said electrical system (22) comprises:- an electrical load (74) capable of switching between a powered state and a standby state, - a processing circuit (72) arranged to authorise the switching of the load (74) from the standby state of same to the powered state of same only if the voltage between the terminals of a battery (70) is higher than a predefined threshold, the processing circuit being provided to this effect with a switch (180) capable of switching: from an open state in which it electrically isolates the processing circuit from at least one of the terminals of the battery, to a closed state in which it electrically connects the processing circuit between the terminals of the battery in order to compare the voltage between said terminals to the predefined threshold, the switch switching from the open state of same to the closed state of same in response to the charge of a capacitor (140).
