The invention relates to a multi-chamber hollow profiled element having an outer wall (10a), which multi-chamber hollow profiled element comprises at least one fire protection material chamber (12) having an outer wall (10a), which is completely or partially filled with one or more fire protection materials (20, 20a, 20b), and at least one accommodating hollow chamber (14), for use in fire protection structures, in particular in fire-resistant frames for fire protection elements, for example as an insert or insertion piece in a fire-resistant glazing frame (22). According to the invention the at least one accommodating hollow chamber (14): is arranged in the interior of the multi-chamber hollow profiled element (10), is completely or predominantly surrounded by the at least one fire protection material chamber (12); has at least one end face, which is arranged in the region of the outer wall (10a) or in the region of the ends of the multi-chamber hollow profiled element (10) such that the accommodating hollow chamber (14) is accessible from outside of the multi-chamber hollow profiled element (10); and is separated from the at least one fire protection material chamber (12) completely or predominantly surrounding the accommodating hollow chamber by means of at least one wall (14a) that is at least largely impermeable to the fire protection material (20, 20a, 20b).
