The invention relates to biocidal treatments of objects, free from magnetic and/or magnetisable microparticles and/or nanoparticles, which contain at least one type of functionalised, non-functionalised, aggregated, non-aggregated, agglomerated, non-agglomerated, supported and/or non-supported polyoxometalate microparticles and/or nanoparticles having an average particle size of 1 to 1000 μm, a method for the production thereof and use of same; water-containing cleaning and body-care products containing said polyoxometalate microparticles and/or nanoparticles; and a method for destruction of drugs and poisonous substances and metabolites thereof, using said polyoxometalate microparticles and/or nanoparticles.
