Today's mobile communication systems are designed for direct vehicle communication. The invention relates to a method for determining collective environment information for cooperative and / or autonomous driving, in which a vehicle (FZ2) equipped with on-board unit (31) and environment monitoring means (32) does not report a detected one created with on-board unit (31) equipped vehicle (FZ1) and sends to the other in the area in question or moving vehicles (FZ3, FZ4).
