PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary support structure for an axial force of an existing column capable of reducing the size and weight compared with the case of making it with a section steel, and supporting a large axial force applied to the existing column at the time of base isolation work.;SOLUTION: A temporary support structure of an axial force of an existing column 11 existing above the portion into which a base isolation device 20 of an existing building 10 is inserted, comprises a pair of coupling brackets 40 connected in a state in which a tensile force is applied by a PC steel rod 51 and the existing column 11 is sandwiched from both sides and the PC steel rod 51 passing through the outside in a direction orthogonal to the sandwiching direction of the existing column 11 is passed through a projecting portion 41d located on both outer portions in the direction orthogonal to the sandwiching direction.
