PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method capable of a geometrical error of an axis of rotation in a state that a main axis is rotated.;SOLUTION: A detection device 40 is fixed on a table in a state that an object is put into a non-contact state, and then, a detection position in a three-dimensional space is recognized with an X axis, a Y axis, and a Z axis of the tool T detected by the detection device 40 as a coordinate axis in a state that the tool T is held and rotated by a main axis 8. Next, the main axis and the table are relatively rotated by a predetermined angle around the rotation axis, and after the rotation, the detection position in the three dimensional space of the tool T detected by the detection device 40 is recognized.
