PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of identifying animal species contained in animal hair fibers by a non-destructive analyzing method at a low cost in a short time.;SOLUTION: The method of identifying animal species includes the steps of: previously measuring Raman spectrum of cashmere derived from goat species, wool derived from sheep species, camel hair derived from camelid species, and yak fiber derived from bovine species: recording peak values specific for animal species; measuring Raman spectrum of an animal hair fiber product to be identified; comparing the peak value to known species-specific peak values; and identifying the animal species included in the animal hair fiber product.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
