PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting a treatment response to a Vreceptor antagonist in patients with depressive symptoms and/or anxiety symptoms.SOLUTION: The method comprises measuring the copeptin concentration in a blood sample of a patient and/or measuring the AVP concentration in a sample of cerebrospinal fluid of the patient. An elevated copeptin and/or AVP concentration indicates a patient responsive to treatment with Vreceptor antagonists.SELECTED DRAWING: None
