To provide a state monitoring device for a magnetic bearing that can easily monitor a deterioration in insulation performance of an iron core.SOLUTION: A state monitoring device for a magnetic bearing comprises a coil voltage acquisition unit 73 that acquires the value of an AC voltage when the AC voltage is applied to a magnetic bearing coil, a coil current acquisition unit 72 that acquires the value of an AC current flowing through the magnetic bearing coil when the AC voltage is applied to the magnetic bearing coil, an inductance calculation unit 74 that calculates the value of an inductance of the magnetic bearing on the basis of the value of the AC voltage acquired by the coil voltage acquisition unit and the value of the AC current acquired by the coil current acquisition unit, and a determination unit 75 that determines whether the insulation of an iron core is poor or not on the basis of the value of the inductance calculated by the inductance calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
