PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for a combination cause in a shorter time from a combination of many quality data items, and prevent reduction of accuracy for specifying the combination cause.SOLUTION: A failure cause search system has: a storage part which stores a plurality of quality data items and quantity data thereof for each of a plurality of products; an order index calculation part which calculates an order index indicative of priority order of each of the quality data items using the quality data of the respective quality data items; a search order determination part which determines search order and a search range of the plurality of quality data items using the order index; a combination cause search part which searches for a combination cause of failure occurrence from a combination of two or more quality data items extracted from the search range using quality data of a plurality of quality data items included in the search range; and an output part which outputs a quality data item related to the searched combination cause.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
