PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for properly evaluating a hydrogen invasion amount to a metal material or the like which is subjected to anticorrosion processing.;SOLUTION: The present invention is a hydrogen invasion evaluation method which applies an electrochemical hydrogen transmission method for evaluating a hydrogen amount of hydrogen entering a first test piece based on hydrogen transmission current detected on the other side, when a hydrogen atom entered from one surface (WE2) of a first test piece (WE) formed of a metal material transmitted the first test piece and is discharged from the other surface (WE1) of the first test piece. In the invention, a second test piece formed of a material being different from the metal material forming the first test piece on at least a surface side, is separated from one surface of the first test piece, and it is electrically connected to the first test piece, and is arranged on one surface side of the first test piece and a hydrogen transmission test is performed.
