PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device which can protect the fishing gear from bad weather and a lifting method of the fishing gear.;SOLUTION: The lifting device 6 of the fishing gear is the lifting device 6 of the fishing gear to move up and down the installed fishing gear with respect to the sea level S using the float, and comprises the winch 61 fixed to the fishing gear, the weight 62 sunk to the seabed B, and the rope 63 connected to the weight 62 and wound around the winch 61 in the tensioned state.
