PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide elastomeric compositions that comprise both vulcanized and devulcanized elastomer materials and incorporate a greater percentage by weight of reclaimed elastomer by using a combination of the vulcanized and devulcanized materials.SOLUTION: An elastomeric composition comprises: an uncured elastomer material; a crosslinking agent; and about 3%-8%, based on the composition weight, of reclaimed elastomer particles. The reclaimed elastomer particles comprise at least 1 wt.% of particles of 50 mesh or more in size, and comprise at least 20 wt.% of particles of 140 mesh or less in size.SELECTED DRAWING: None
