PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetization direction setting method for semi-automatically setting a magnetization direction of a plurality of magnets upon magnetic field analysis of electric equipment which uses a permanent magnet of a motor or the like.;SOLUTION: The magnetization direction setting method in a magnetic field analysis system of an analysis space is provided in which a magnet is frequently magnetized in a thickness direction, so that a thickness direction is detected on the basis of information of a magnet shape (e.g., a direction of two vector differences in which an angle between vectors turned from the center of gravity to a vertex is minimum, or a direction of a side of the magnet having the shortest length is determined as a thickness direction) to temporarily determine a magnetization direction as a thickness direction, and after that, the magnetization direction is corrected. Specifically, a thickness direction of the permanent magnet is detected from barycentric coordinates and vertex coordinates of the permanent magnet, and the same magnetization direction as the thickness direction in each mesh of the permanent magnet is temporarily set.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
