PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing at least a two-layer tubular strand of the tobacco processing industry and an apparatus for producing at least a two-layer tubular strand of the tobacco processing industry.SOLUTION: The process for producing tubular strands includes: when a base material strip 24 is cut into a first material strip 25 having a first width and a second material strip 26 having a second width, controlling the width of the first material strip 25 such that a first width of the first material strip 25 is adjusted to a preset value; and, when the tubular strands are formed, winding the first material strip 25 as an inner layer, with a direction of the adjusted first width matching a radial direction of the strand, and superposedly winding the second material strip thereon as an outer layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
