PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the prognosis of esophageal cancer, specifically to provide a method of easily and highly accurately predicting the prognosis of esophageal cancer in a patient after chemoradiotherapy.;SOLUTION: The method includes analyzing the types of bases in one or more gene polymorphism site using a gene containing sample derived from esophageal cancer patients, and examining the prognosis of the esophageal cancer patients based on the results of analysis.
