PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking mechanism of a pile extractor allowing extraction of even a heavy existing pile.;SOLUTION: A chucking mechanism of a pile extractor comprises: a cylindrical casing 3 provided with a concentric outer cylindrical part 1 near an end part; claws 2 supported on an outer peripheral wall of the outer cylindrical part; outer cylindrical part windows and casing windows respectively provided penetrating through the outer cylindrical part and the casing allowing standing of the claws inward from an inner peripheral wall of the casing; and a hydraulic cylinder for moving the outer cylindrical part along the casing. By extending the hydraulic cylinder, the outer cylindrical part moves in the casing end direction and the claws are tilted on the inner peripheral wall of the casing, and by compressing the hydraulic cylinder, the outer cylindrical part moves in the direction reverse to the casing end direction and the claws stand inward from the inner peripheral wall of the casing.
