PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vector potential detector with which it is possible to directly detect in a space where no magnetic field resides inherent that an AC vector potential has been applied.;SOLUTION: This vector potential detector comprises an electric resistance part and a circuit that includes a first lead and a second lead each connected at one end to both ends of the electric resistance part. The electric resistance part, one end of the first lead, and one end of the second lead are disposed in the inside of a space. When delivering the other end of the first lead and the other end of the second lead from the inside of the space where no magnetic field exists toward the outside, the first lead and the second lead are led out in the same direction from within the space. The other end of the first lead and the other end of the second lead are connected to the outside of the space, with means for measuring the voltage generated in the circuit included.
