PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitted fabric that has a limited elongation in a longitudinal direction even though it is a knitted fabric and that has an appropriate elongation as well as softness, air permeability and shape retaining properties as a business shirt.SOLUTION: The knitted fabric for business shirt is a single knitted fabric comprises a pattern texture having a knitted fabric basic texture in which a ratio of the number of welts to the number of knit loops is set to be 0.20-1.10. The course density is 40-100/2.54 cm and the wale density is 30-80/2.54 cm, and the rate of elongation (EMT) in a longitudinal direction is 3-25% and the rate of elongation (EMT) in a traverse direction is 8-40%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
