PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cracked bottle detection device for detecting cracked bottles at an early stage with simple mechanism and low cost, a beverage production device and a method to detect cracked bottles.;SOLUTION: A cracked bottle detection device 11 consists of a conveyor 9 which carries bottles 3 filled with beverage, a light projector 13 and an optical receiver 15, arranged while sandwiching the conveyor 9, and a controlling part 17 which judges whether or not strength or quantity of infrared received by the optical receiver 15 has attenuated over a predetermined threshold F. When attenuation over the threshold does not occur for a filled bottle 3 while passing between the light projector 13 and the optical receiver 15, the controlling part 17 judges that it is a cracked bottle 3b, and the conveyor 9 and a filler 7 are suspended.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
