PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing test solution capable of properly evaluating SCC (stress corrosion cracking) resistance of stainless steel, and a test method.;SOLUTION: The method is a preparation method of a test solution used for a stress corrosion cracking test of a stainless steel(step S1). The method includes the steps of: adjusting the buffer capacity of the test solution to 150% or less of the buffering capacity under the actual environment; and adjusting the pH of the test solution to pH of the actual circumstance (steps S1-2).
