PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve estimation accuracy of a surface temperature of a housing.;SOLUTION: An electronic device 10 comprises a housing 11, a board 12 built in the housing 11, components 13, 14 arranged on the board 12, a reference temperature sensor 19, temperature sensors 16, 17 arranged so as to correspond to the components 13, 14, and an arithmetic processing unit 15. The arithmetic processing unit 15 estimates an ambient temperature by using a reference temperature, a plurality of temperatures acquired by the temperature sensors 16, 17, a plurality of first transfer functions, a plurality of second transfer functions, and a plurality of third transfer functions, and estimates a surface temperature of a housing based on the ambient temperature. The plurality of first transfer functions are defined based on thermal resistance from the components 13, 14 to the reference temperature 19 and a thermal time constant, and the plurality of second transfer functions are defined based on thermal resistance from the components 13, 14 to each of the temperature sensors 16,17 and a thermal time constant.
