PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biogas power generation system and a biogas power generation method which can perform power generation even when power supply from a commercial power supply is stopped.SOLUTION: A biogas power generation system of an embodiment has a power supply device and a biogas power generation device. The power supply device supplies power. The biogas power generation device starts up by power supplied from the power supply device when power supply from a commercial power supply is stopped, and generates power by using biogas generated in a fermentation process of organic waste.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
