PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enhancing, by boundary layer effect, heat transfer of fluid that hinders the efficiency of heat exchange.SOLUTION: A flow of a boundary layer in contact with a wall surface is retarded, which deteriorates heat transfer of fluid. Particles having a surface specialized into the fluid are introduced; thereby, mixing of the boundary layer is facilitated and heat transfer is enhanced. The particles in the fluid tumble while mixing the boundary layer, therefore forming the energy side of a low surface area around the particles. Also, a dynamic action increases the nucleus formation for gas-phase transfer during boiling. Metal or ceramic nanoparticles in the fluid modify surface characteristics of nanoparticles that enhance fluid heat transfer, therefore facilitating mixing of the boundary layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
