PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of image quality in block compression.SOLUTION: The image compressor includes: a compression processing circuit configured to block-compress image data for creation of compression image data; and a dither value creation circuit. In creating the compression image data corresponding to a block to be compressed, the dither value creation circuit creates a dither value according to a block coordinate showing a position in an image of the block to be compressed and the compression processing circuit executes quantization processing using the dither value in the block compression.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
