The present invention prepares cyano cross-linked coordination polymers in situ in biocompatible reverse micelle systems as metal nanoparticles by mixing at least two reverse micelle systems each containing at least one metal salt precursor. Related to the method. The invention also relates to the stabilization of these nanoparticles by using a biocompatible reverse micelle system. This system is part of the synthesis to prepare stable cyano-bridged metal nanoparticles as a nanoreactor containing at least acylglycerol, sterol, lecithin, ethanol and water without the use of additional stabilizers.
