PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of collecting highly accurate diagnostic data, and a diagnostic kit, which are useful in diagnosing the presence or absence of extrahepatic bile duct cancer, intrahepatic bile duct cancer, or gallbladder cancer.SOLUTION: CEACAM1 concentration in a blood sample collected from a subject is detected using a diagnostic kit, or the like, including an antibody, or a labeled product thereof, that specifically binds to CEACAM1. Data thus collected allows for diagnosing that it is highly likely that the subject has extrahepatic bile duct cancer, intrahepatic bile duct cancer, or gallbladder cancer when the CEACAM1 concentration is higher than that in a blood sample collected from a non-cancer control subject, or is higher than a given threshold value (cut-off value).SELECTED DRAWING: None
