PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ilmenite type covered arc welding rod for providing welding metal, excellent in slag separability and rod-burning resistance, excellent in a bead shape by stabilizing an arc, and excellent in mechanical performance without a welding defect by deep melting-in.;SOLUTION: In an ilmenite type covered arc welding rod, a steel core wire includes C: 0.03-0.15% in mass% to the steel core wire total mass, and a coating agent includes the sum total: 2.5-5.5% of a Na₂O conversion value and a K₂O conversion value in the sum total: 9-20% of metal carbonate, the iron sulfide: 0.005-0.1%, the sum total: 15-35% of a TiO₂ conversion value, the sum total: 15-35% of an SiO₂ conversion value, the sum total: 2-6% of an Al₂O₃ conversion value, the sum total: 1-5% of an MnO conversion value, the sum total: 3-8% of an organic substance and 6-15% in the sum total of an Mn conversion value, in mass% to a coating agent total mass.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
