PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs of a wiper system, though simply structured, by providing a technique for controlling a wiper device which can detect appropriately a position of a wiper blade.SOLUTION: Electric motors 6a and 6b have a first sensor portion 14 that outputs a signal accompanying rotation of a rotating shaft 34 and a second sensor portion 15 that outputs a signal accompanying rotation of a warm wheel 36. The second sensor portion 15 comprises second sensor magnets 32 mounted on the warm wheel 36 and two second magnetic sensors 44 and 45. The second magnetic sensors 44 and 45 output different signals by opposite polarities of second sensor magnets 32. Wiper control devices 10a and 10b detect, based on a combination of outputted signals from the second magnetic sensors 44 and 45, areas (1)-(4) in which wiper blades 2a and 2b exist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
