PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inorganic fiber having carbon particles buried thereon for producing a holding sealant having excellent high-temperature strength (heat resistance) and resistant to decrease in contact pressure.SOLUTION: The inorganic fiber having carbon particles buried thereon is characterized in that carbon particles are buried and fixed on the surface of inorganic fiber, and on the surface of the inorganic fiber, projections are formed by the carbon particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
