TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to an aqueous polymer dispersion for laminating composite films and a method for producing the aqueous polymer dispersion in multiple stages from ethylenically unsaturated radically polymerizable monomers. In the first stage, a first polymer is produced by radical emulsion polymerization. In a further step, the aqueous polymer dispersion is produced in the presence of the first polymer. The monomer of the first stage includes a monomer having an acid group. Further stage monomers include monomers having an oxazoline group. The first stage polymerization is carried out at a low pH value of less than 5. The acid groups of the first polymer are neutralized before further stage polymerization. The aqueous polymer dispersion can be used as an adhesive to produce composite films.
