PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a substation control system not necessarily requiring reconstruction of the substation control system even when replacing a facility not compliant to a standardized data transmission system with a facility compliant to the system, a control method therefor, and an intelligent electronic device.SOLUTION: A substation control system including a server, a facility for a power transmission network, and a network to which the server and a plurality of facilities are connected, the server and the facilities implementing standardized data transmission via the network, comprises: an intelligent electronic device that is connected to the network and is capable of standardized data transmission; and a virtualizing system that configures a virtual model for the intelligent electronic device. The virtualizing system allocates a facility not compliant to the standardized data transmission system of the plurality of facilities to the virtual model; the server is enabled to execute data transmission with the facility via the virtual model.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
