Model predictive control is used to obtain the highest performance value corresponding to a given target value in the dynamic environment. One or more maximum performance values of model predictive applications such as in the petrochemical process are obtained by exploiting asymmetric dynamic behaviors that extend the process to the perimeter of the operating window. When the set value is unfeasible, the application's controller slows down when the controller is moving away from the specified set value.If it is not feasible and the controller begins to move in the direction returning to the set value, the controller follows the adjusted speed. If the controller is moving in a direction contrary to the economic interests, the controller will slow down and move in the direction of economic profits, the controller follows the adjusted dynamic speed.The maximum performance value is calculated by the controller corresponding to each control variable, equal to the set value of the control variable with the set value or the maximum value between the limit of the control variable affected by the economic function.
