PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of a pneumatic tire which has a hook-and-loop fastener in a tire inner cavity, is capable of favorably preventing occurrence of collapse in the engaging element of the fastener and is capable of sufficiently obtaining the basic engagement force of the fastener.SOLUTION: A method for production of a pneumatic tire having a hook-and-loop fastener in a tire inner cavity includes: molding a green tire prepared by previously setting a hook-and-loop fastener member 2 on an adhesive rubber layer 3 and further sticking the adhesive rubber layer having the fastener member to the inner face of an inner liner layer 1; vulcanization-molding the green tire in such a state as to arrange the protective member of the engaging element of the fastener member at the tire inner cavity of the fastener member; after that, removing the protective member of the engaging element of the fastener; and obtaining a pneumatic tire in which the fastener member is installed on the tire inner cavity face.
