PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rein coated metal sheet having excellent moldability, corrosion resistance and general purpose material property, and exhibits excellent retort resistance when molded into a can.;SOLUTION: There is provided a thermoplastic polyester resin coated metal sheet having a resin coating layer comprising an unstretched thermoplastic polyester resin on at least one surface of a metallic raw material, where the resin coating layer has: a region on a surface side of a boundary with the metallic raw material, where a half width of a Raman shift peak of a thermoplastic polyester resin due to C=O stretching vibration around 1730 cm^-1 in Raman spectroscopy using a laser light of linear polarization of 20 to 24 cm^-1; and a region with a half width of the Raman shift peak of 14 to 18 cm^-1 in a surface side of the resin coating layer. Also provided is the coated metal sheet where the thermoplastic polyester resin layer is a single layer or multi-layer, where a layer constituting the surface of the resin layer comprises a polyethylene plate containing 5 mol% or less of isophthalic acid as a copolymer component.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
