PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cholesterol-containing emulsion compositions for hair cosmetics which can homogeneously contain cholesterol, which has been difficult to be contained in aqueous hair cosmetics because it is solid and oil-soluble in normal temperature, in also cosmetics, particularly in aqueous cosmetics, the cholesterol-containing emulsion compositions causing no cholesterol crystalline precipitation or isolation and having excellent temporal stability; to provide production methods thereof; and to provide hair cosmetics containing the emulsion compositions for cosmetics.SOLUTION: The cholesterol-containing emulsion composition for hair cosmetics of the present invention contains, as an essential ingredient, (A) cholesterol, (B) oil solution, (C) sorbitan-based nonionic surfactant, (D) alkyl ether-based nonionic surfactant, and (F) water, wherein the average HLB value of the nonionic surfactant (component (C)+component (D)) is 10-11, the mass ratio of the component (A)/(the component (B), component (C), and component (D)) is 1/52-1/60, and the mass ratio of the component (B)/(the component (C) and component (D)) is 1.5/1-3/1.SELECTED DRAWING: None
